ETVOS Mineral Foundation Set

Yesterday, I decided to go to the mall to buy some food (craving for burger). Whenever I go out, wearing sunblock is a must because of the scorching heat of the sun here in the Philippines. It was the perfect time for me to use the Etvos Mineral Foundation SPF 30 PA ++ and put it to a test.

First, I applied BB cream on my face. Second, I gently brushed the Etvos mineral Foundation to mattify my face because the BB cream alone looks shiny and oily which I really hate. The brush that I used was also the one included in the sample kit, it was very smooth and did not gave a prickly feel.

According to the catalogue, this brush costs 2000 yen

I quickly noticed that the moment the mineral foundation touched my skin, it fills in the pores. Creating a smooth and seamless finish. The powder foundation has a ultra fine texture that was good in covering my pores. I somewhat agree with it's statement that using the product will help achieve porcelain-like skin that can survive close combat.

For the staying power, I could say that it was ok. After 3 hours of strolling, I checked my face and the mineral foundation was still there. It did not melt. But, my face already looked oily (I have oily skin) so I need to do a retouch. Even I did a retouch, my skin did not seem to be cakey. When I arrived at home, I immediately washed my face using the soap that was included in my Etvos starter kit. The foundation was easily washed off, no residues left.

As you can see, there are shimmers on the brush

Lets move on to the Night Mineral foundation. I was amazed because this was my first time to hear such product, a foundation for bedtime treatment (added with Vitamins). I ran out of this thing after using it for 5 nights (it's just 1 gram) The powder was very fine and it has some glitters/shimmers that gives a glossy effect on my skin. Honestly I did'nt see drastic result, just a lesser oily skin when I wake up in the morning.

Last in the base make up line is the enriched silky primer. This was placed in a small sachet (0.3 grams) I just use this to mattify my face when I get oily. (Dont have idea how to use it as a primer) It was able to keep the oiliness at bay for 3 hrs, needs to be re-applied 2-3 times a day.

For my final verdict, ETVOS base make up line is good. If you have sensitive skin, this will not cause irritation because it is made of minerals, no synthetic chemicals added. Also, it has good seamless coverage and high SPF that will keep your skin shielded from the harsh rays of the sun. For the mattifying factor this is Ok, needs to be reapplied to freshen up.

ETVOS Moisture Line

Hola Amigos!

The box looks simple but elegant
This is my very first sample from Cosmeria. It's not just a single product, but it's a starter kit! I was overwhelmed when I held my hands to this sample, a glamorous product all the way from Japan. Mineral prods here in Philippines is pricey and having the opportunity to have this set is a blessing :)

The Etvos Mineral Foundation starter kit is divided into two, base make up and skincare products.

Base make up consists of:

1. Mineral foundation SPF 30 PA ++-0.8 grams
2. Night mineral foundation-1 gram (Prescription foundation that has vitamins and can be worn to bed, also can be used as a base foundation or finishing powder)
3. Enriched silky primer-0.3 grams
4. Kabuki brush

Skincare products (Moisture line)
1. Cleansing Clear soap- 5 grams
2. Moisturizing lotion-20 ml
3. Moisturizing serum-10 ml
4. Argan oil-3 ml

Didn't have English translation :(

Freebie Candy! Delicioso :)

For this review, I will concentrate with the skincare products. I made a seperate review of the base make up division which you will see in the next post.

I used the moisture line for 3 weeks (use it every night). At first, I was hesitant on using it because I have oily skin but then i gave it a shot. I just followed the sequence of pictures in the brandbook on how to use it because I can't read the Japanese writings (no English translation). First thing I do with my regimen is wash my face with the cleansing clear soap. Second, put moisturizing lotion all over my face. Third is to lightly massage the moisturing serum on my skin. Lastly is the Argan oil which I only dab on my pimple scars and around my eyes.

The cleansing clear soap was good in eradicating dirt, make up and oil. It lathers well and does not sting which means it is mild. No residues left. Also, it has this unnoticeable scent. At first, I thought it's odorless but when I kept on sniffing the soap, I noticed it smelled like medicinal plants or something.

My favorite product in this line is the moisturizing lotion. Colorless and has a water-like consistency that was easily absorbed on my skin. Very lightweight which I really love. The smell was just like the Cleansing clear soap, very mild. I was glad it did not irritate my sinuses (I have sinusitis)

For the moisturizing serum, it was white in color and has a thick consistency (common in serums) however when I lightly massaged it to my face, it was easily absorbed. The scent was overpowering, it nearly triggered my sinusitis but this is superb when it comes to moisturization.

Argan is believed to have anti aging properties because it is rich in antioxidants. It has a bit thick consistency (common in oils) so I just use it around my eyes and on pimple scars/blemishes. I tried it once, I placed the oil all over my face and when I woke up, I appeared very oily. Anyways, it was effective in lightening my blemishes, dark circles and dry skin around my eyes. What I like with this item is that it is made from pure, unrefined argan oil. Also its odorless and colorless.

To wrap it up, using the moisture line of Etvos gave me smooth, hydrated and glowing skin. Eventhough I have oily skin, I believe that it is still a must to moisturize to delay signs of aging. Two thumbs up :)

Free Cosmetic Samples from Japan

Hey gorgeous ladies!

Admit it, everyone loves free samples. You get to try a product without paying a penny. You feel lucky and overwhelmed when you finally have the product in your hands. And…. that was exactly what I felt when I received my first ever sample product from Cosmeria. For this post, I will expound what Cosmeria is and teach you how to receive samples from them.

Cosmeria aims to deliver smiles to asian women. All of the samples in their website are made in Japan, some are even high end cosmetics. Their samples are completely free of charge and they will also handle for the shipping fee. If you live in the Philippines, the postman will charge 112 pesos for the tax. To start receiving samples, go to www.cosmeria.me. Click “sign in with facebook” and complete your account details. Most of the samples in their website are labeled “coming soon”. The stocks of the prods depends on the manufacture time of a certain cosmetic company. Like their facebook page so that you will get notified when they have samples available. Once they have stocks, you need to act fast because they only have limited quantity of samples.

If you successfully received a sample from them, try it and give your review. Reviews are important to them, that’s what enables them to get more samples from cosmetic companies. Also, they will give points which you can use to avail of confectionery and kawaii goods.

I already received 4 samples from them and will post reviews soon. Watch out for it!

For questions, you can message them on Facebook or visit their Q&A site cosmeria.zendesk.com.

Already a member of Cosmeria and received samples? share your insights about it in the comment box :)
